Pain Management Hypnotherapy

Can hypnotherapy help pain?

You want to diminish your chronic pain. Your chronic condition, which you’ve generally had for over three months, is a persistent bother. Pain medications are not working well, besides having troublesome side effects.

Experiencing chronic pain can lead into anxiety, depression, alienation, and impatience. Recent research shows us that hypnotherapy can significantly reduce pain without side effects.

Where does that pain originate?

It might surprise you to know that pain originates in the brain. From there, the signal goes out into the body and becomes throbbing, aching, burning, searing, or you name it.

Hypnotherapy works by “closing” the pain gate to the pathway from the brain. It does not happen instantly but by repeated use of techniques. It doesn’t take long to learn and apply.

Hypnotherapy works in the Central Nervous System, producing an analgesic – pain relieving – effect by uplifting your brain state.

Your pain must be medically diagnosed so that we are not masking pain that has an important message. I’ve never met a doctor who doesn’t gratefully approve of medical support hypnotherapy.

You will begin to gain control over the pain by building a relationship with it, like a friend (if you can believe that!), and letting it soften.

Learn to turn down your pain –

By training with Dr. Bruce Eimer, licensed clinical psychologist and trainer of the Pain Control Hypnosis Practitioner Course, I experienced a series of exercises to diminish pain significantly.

First hand during the training, it worked to eliminate the old shoulder pain I’ve had from an injury more than one year ago. Amazingly after understanding the pain, it went from a persistent six down to two for two weeks and down to .5, then zero. Most of my flexibility has returned.

I’m excited to share these skills for your benefit. Call me to learn more or to schedule one or more sessions.
