I arrange and conduct an hour-long session by phone or on Zoom,  tailored to your situation. The session consists of five steps based on relaxation using three personalized multi-sensory images.(no worries if you don’t visualize) 

Sensory imagery, felt in the body, serves to supplant old worry, anxiety, or negative thinking. It becomes a resource for steady, positive change before, during, and after your medical procedure.

I am a HealFaster™ practitioner (2021), trained with course originator and author Peggy Huddleston, psychotherapist and graduate of Harvard Divinity School. Her process, HealFaster™, is used in hospitals and clinics throughout the East Coast and the Midwest United States. It is taught to nurses, medical personnel, health professionals, and clinical hypnotherapists.

Relaxation is key to the process.

It is also step one of the five steps.

When your body and mind drop into relaxation, the parasympathetic nervous system shifts the respiratory, heart rate, and emotional and physical systems into balance, called homeostasis.

In homeostasis, the immune system strengthens, and your higher mind functions with greater clarity.

Using simple techniques even just a few days before your procedure (better one to two weeks before), you can create this body/mind relaxation for yourself, allowing you to be “in the zone” each day!
